You know, I am really, genuinely curious: how much of the colonies do they teach in general schoolfeeding?
I'm not talking about star charts or fleet maps or anything, I'm wondering if there's any sort of lessons beyond just saying the colonies exist in some shape or form. Not all of them are prison colonies, of course.
Then again, considering the vast differences between Alternia and my home, I wouldn't be surprised if the Empire's forgotten all about its little offshoots.

Beyond a few of the major political centers, I'm afraid none of them were mentioned in my own basic feeds.

They certainly don't forget us when it comes time for us to make our Fleet contributions.
Some trolls on my homeplanet are just particularly vocal about the Empire having 'abandoned' us, so I was wondering what an outsider's point of view might be.

[|| The colonies are all just resource hubs. ||]
[|| The only thing they're good for is refuelling stations. ||]
[|| And what we can pull from the surfaces. ||]
[|| We might as well teach about factories. ||]

Ah, yes, how forgetful of me, of course Padyssa is a resource hub, what with its wonderful advantages of being thousands of miles of unlivable territory and having a massive organization of religious heretics who can't even be assigned on the same ships as those "Dark Carnival" trolls.
So terribly forgetful of me, to think that perhaps a colony that has existed since the early stages of the Empire's exploration has a culture that the Empire might see fit to explain to its younglings, since they may one day find themselves on a fleet ship with some such strange and foriegn individual.
I'm fairly certain that certain schoolfeedings do teach about factories, in fact. Especially in regions where said factories are the primary resource.

Why would the, the empire teach about, non-sanctioned activities? Why would DW expect that?, Do we live on, the same Alternia?,
I am, squinting, just, so loudly right now,,,,

Point B: When and where, pray tell me, did I say anything about non-sanctioned activities? If you mean the fact I simply mentioned that the Empire was forgetful enough about one of its colonies that it let a cult grow rampant and usurp the original primary religion, and then failed to do anything about it, I'm not suggesting that the Empire teach about those idiots.
I would greatly prefer that the Empire burn those heretics to the ground.

So I'm, disagreeing, I guess,

[|| It's not a very good promotion of privacy when someone can just grab your hand and bleed you. ||]
[|| Which is what happens to anons. All the time. ||]
[|| I would say that failing to realise that. ||]

No one is, gonna, bleed anyone,,,,

[|| Mm. ||]
[|| I thought we had switched to discussing anonymity in reality. ||]
[|| Not on the internet. ||]
[|| My mistake. ||]
[|| Explain how it promotes special treatment on caste. ||]
[|| I don't see how that relates to a forum. ||]
[|| At all. ||]

[|| Beyond culture. ||]
[|| Because Empress knows we don't have enough of those floating around. ||]

Well, then, pardon my mistake of forgetting that Alternia-born trolls are thoroughly self-centered individuals who don't care to see beyond their own atmosphere and expand their horizons.

I'd wager one of them is much more entertaining than the other.
